- Solution
- An Electron desktop application for macOS and Windows — integrated with web and desktop apps for seamless data exchange.
The brief
Working DJs carry libraries of tens of thousands of tracks spread across competing apps, each with its own metadata format. Keeping that library clean — consistent tags, no duplicates, correct cues — is tedious and error-prone. SpinTools makes it manageable.
Our role
We designed and built the product end to end: the engine that reads and reconciles library formats across Serato, Rekordbox, and Traktor, the tag and duplicate tooling, and the interface that makes bulk library work feel fast.
Approach
Meet DJs where their data already lives. Parse each app’s library format faithfully, normalize it into a common model, and give precise, reversible tools for cleaning at scale — plus audio-aware analysis for trends a spreadsheet can’t surface.
AI-built playlists
The clean library is only half the job — the other half is the set. SpinTools’ AI takes it from there: learning a DJ’s taste and reading each track’s energy, key, and feel to recommend what comes next and assemble playlists that actually flow. What used to take an evening of digging comes together in minutes.
Outcome
A focused utility that turns hours of manual library maintenance into a few deliberate actions — built by someone who actually DJs.
